Just came back from Abu Dhabi where I spent a long weekend being part of the opening of Warehouse 421, a great new creative spot in the city which also turns out to be an amazing skate spot.
Tashkeel took part of the event with a great show by their best representative artists, as well as creatives from the Gulf and beyond, like Hey Studio from Barcelona. Great music shows at night by Tinariwen and Mulatu Astatke made things just better.
Here is a video showing the process of the last wall I did in Jordan in collaboration with Ruseifa locals and the great team aptART - Awareness & Prevention Through Art
Filmed by Samantha Robinson and edited by Nina Constable Media

Pushing Boundaries. Mission accomplished in Ruseifa, Jordan.
A beautiful project by AptArt intending to raise awareness of gender issues in Arab countries. The artwork depicts a woman oppressed by the walls of her house, trying to take down one of the walls and open herself to the world.
A metaphor of what really happens, sadly, in most of the Arab countries, where women are still treated like second-class citizens.
Local boys and girls got involved by writing sentences of what they think about the subject or/and how can this get better.
They also helped in filling up colors and fixing up drips and stuff, Leah and Sam from AptArt were there too every single day making things easier, painting like beasts. Mad respect for them.
Things were not completely easy since we had to battle with a 2-day sand storm and some of the worst floods in the country for the past years after that.
It was completely worthy though, great experience and challenge.
Thanks to AptArt: Samantha and Leah for their endless support and help.

Life is Beatiful recap
(Photos and text stolen from StreetArtNews)
“Life Is Beautiful” Festival took place in downtown Las Vegas with an impressive music, art and culinary line-up. Stretching over 15 blocks of downtown the ambitious arts program curated by Charlotte Dutoit from JUSTKIDS featured works from international artists with D*Face,Banksy, Ruben Sanchez, Ana Maria, Sbagliato, Bikismo, Bordalo II, Filthy Luker, Pixel Pancho, Stephane Mlaka, Jason Woodside and Trevor Wheatley & Cosmo Dean.
Banksy’s “All City” truck, D*Face’s enormous zombie Hello Kitty or a gigantic green octopus bursting out of an abandoned motel were some of the installations that welcomed us within the large-footprint.
On top of murals from the past editions (Doze Green, Vhils, Borondo, Fintan Magee…), a series of large-scale artworks were unveiled with some impressive pieces by Bikismo, Ruben Sanchez or Ana Maria.
After three years, the festival and JUSTKIDS literally changed downtown Las Vegas, which now acts as one of the largest open-air art gallery in North America with over 30 permanent murals and installations.
Hit the jump to discover our full recap on this year’s edition and as usual stick with your friends at StreetArtNews for the latest updates from festivals around the world.

It’s Vegas baby! And it’s hot, but we are JustKids and Life is Beautiful in Downtown Las Vegas. Stoked to be part of this festival, here there are some photos of the wall I painted, located at Las Vegas Bvd with Fremont St.
If you are familiar with Hunter S. Thompson’s book ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ or if you ever watched the movie I’m sure you will know what is this mural about ;)
I was watching the movie again after painting the wall and turns out that the first scene in Las Vegas, where Jhonny Depp and Benicio del Toro make their entrance to the city is just in Fremont St, a few meters away from this wall.
Off to Vegas!
Instant custom skateboard.
There’s nothing like a brand new set up.
My friend Brandon, from Skateistan just inked my desert fox in the chest. SO dope! Done by talented @skipper_87
Hot hot sunny day painting in this stinky spot for junkies with my friend Matt, his gold chains and Konair. Flying Pegasus, Barcelona.
Playing around with some clay came out with this.
So into volume lately, how different the connection with the characters is in this way.

Holiday at the Balearic Islands, best time of the year.
Apart of having some world record siestas, I also picked up some amazing pieces of wood, did a last minute wall about a bizarre love triangle between a shrimp and a moray eel and… I did my very first underwater totem!
It’s all made out of reclaimed materials from the same beach and surroundings.
Great times with Annita
See you next year Menorca.
