Astral projection (or astral travel) is an interpretation of an out-of-body experience (OBE) that assumes the existence of an “astral body” separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it. Astral projection or travel denotes the astral body leaving the physical body to travel in an astral plane. The idea of astral travel is rooted in common worldwide religious accounts of the afterlife in which the consciousness’ or soul’s journey or “ascent” is described in such terms as “an… out-of body experience, wherein the spiritual traveller leaves the physical body and travels in his/her subtle body (or dreambody or astral body) into ‘higher’ realms.”
It is frequently reported in association with dreams, and forms of meditation.

My friend Ramy, from INGcreatives is a stubborn guy.
He sees this wall everyday from his apartment and from his office too.
Ramy’s been trying to get this wall painted by an artist for over a year, and he didn’t stop until he finally got it.

I’m happy that I was the artist he had in mind once he got the permission, I’ve seen no walls like this before in Dubai, it was quite a exciting project.

We wanted to keep it all independent since the beginning, no branding, no events, no posing. Just art in a wall, but we needed some support.

INGcreatives managed to get it all organized and they even created a casual venue where people stopped by to see the progress of the wall, to chill with us and get some information about the project. Concordia, the company who runs the area, provided a cherry picker and some dirhams to buy the paint and Sam gave us a good price on the spray paint.

Everybody did their best to support this project expecting nothing in exchange. Thank you all. And then I just provided my work.

So yeah, this has been a project free of charge, just for the community. I hope you enjoy it.

The guys at FN Designs, from Dubai, had this original idea: They teamed up with a boxing club and artists to create this customized boxing bags and make a nice show with all of them. I was part of the group show, including mostly local and UAE based artists.

To be honest, I was quite reluctant to participate in the World Guiness record for the biggest graffiti artwork that just happened in Dubai.

I checked it out and to see some friends in action, but then I changed my mind. The vibe there was sick, graffiti artists from everywhere painting the same long ass thing, including Blade or Futura 2000 among other legends.

There was free paint and a lot of spaces to fill up, temptation was too big so I asked my friend Zmogk for a collaboration since our last one came out quite good. He was finishing that epic mural in the 8th photo along with Bandi (2nd photo) and Loodz.

When he finished we did that Aladdin lamp artwork together that you can see in photos 5, 6 and 7.

Next day I went to take pictures and the organization asked me to do another piece, there were still some gaps to fill up so I came up with those 7 faces, reflecting the 7 Emirates (All the artworks must be related with the UAE or their 43rd National day). So at the end yes, I was part of the biggest longest graffitiest thing in the World or whatever they call it.

Some pics of the artworks that we did during this past week in Geneva for the Postgraffiti and Abstract show by Taxi Collectif.

My contribution for this show in an old reconverted foundry, apart of the outdoor wall with Zmogk, was this indoor mural of a man offering a gift facing a dyptich canvas of a sitting woman.

Great to meet all the crew in Geneva, good times!
Thanks to Bandi and the Taxi Collectif.

Hyped to be part of this independent project in Geneve (CH) these next days, where we will take over a space from top to bottom during a mini-residency, including an artshow at the end of it.
I have no idea what the outcome will be, but sounds good.
Photos soon.
